"A Poetic Approach", now hanging in our Gallery, has been a successful show. Sales are still slow but they are increasing, especially with lower priced items. ( This is a hint for those of you who would like to increase your sales. Make cards, prints, and small items that would make nice gifts. In this economy people still want to give gifts that are unique, lovely, and relatively inexpensive.)
On Tuesday September 28, we will be receiving art for our new show entitled " Fall Musings". Think warm weather, warm colors, and the serenity of this seasonal weather change. This Show will be up untill Thursday November 18, when we will hang our Holiday Show, "A Festive Season". If you are in the mood to make Ornaments for the Holiday Tree, this can be an opportunity to think small, artistic, and less pricey. The Holiday Tree will go up on Sunday November 28 from 1PM to 3PM. Many people helping will make this a festive event! Plan to be there.
We have secured the use of the old Three Day Blinds building for another Open Studios Event. This will begin on October 29 and run through November 8. The Show will be titled "HOLIDAY MAGIC". The 29th and the 8th are set up and clean up days. I have been accepting sign ups for the last few weeks and have space for one -three more. The cost to register is $100. (This money will pay for the rent of the space and advertising, as well as assure Pinole Artisans a generous income. 15% of all sales will be witheld from sales just like we do at the downtown Gallery.) Spaces can be shared to reduce the personal cost. Call me at 510-758-2935 to be put on the list. The back room at this facility has been a bit of an eye sore, but we have permission from the property managers to paint it. This will take place on Thursday October 28. I have the paint and tools but need at least 2 or 3 of you to volunteer to help with this endeavor. Call me!
